Being the No.1 wines and spirits trade fair in Mainland China, ProWine China continues to serve the industry by putting focus on wine education, high class events and truly global exhibitor variety throughout the three-day exhibition.
ProWine China Education Offensive
ProWine China as an inherent part of the Chinese wine industry sets the basis for business and knowledge transfer. The organizers of the exhibition feel that wine education is a major stepping stone to further satisfy the Chinese wine industry’s needs and therewith has to be a permanent feature of ProWine China. All educational events, organized by ProWine China and its partners, at the 2014 trade fair can be assigned to the ProWine China Education Offensive.
Professor Li Demei will be the host of the first ProWine China Wine Industry Summit. Prof.Li is from Beijing University of Agriculture and is with no doubt the most recognized and leading Chinese oenologist and wine expert. On the summit, heated discussions centering on “investment & cooperation with the Chinese wine industry” and “market trends – online wine trade” will attract the visitors’ attention. As the summit chairperson, Prof. Li will appoint further top-notch wine experts, both local and international, to the speaker committee. The organizers of ProWine China feel honored that Judy Chan, owner of China based Grace Vineyard and the quintessence of successful wine growing in China, already confirmed her participation in the conference. The summit will take place on November 13th, 2nd show day of ProWine China, and is addressed to wine professionals, especially those who are looking at investing or cooperating with the Chinese wine industry. The participation is free of charge. Due to limited capacity, registration under iris@chinaallworld.com is required.
Another highlight of the ProWine Education Offensive is the cooperation of ProWine China and the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET). The WSET, one of the foremost international bodies in the field of wines and spirits education course program providers, will offer high professional education seminars on the three show days. Unique among wine exhibitions in China, London based WSET has invited their professional wine educators from all over China and the UK to hold education sessions in the dedicated WSET Forum. “The WSET is delighted to work with ProWine China to highlight the importance of wine and spirits education during the fair in November. We look forward to building upon the tasting activities we ran last year by running a full schedule of master classes in a dedicated seminar room sponsored by ProWine China. WSET Certified Educators based in both China and our London headquarters will be delivering informative, interesting, and educational sessions giving attendees with the opportunity to taste wines.” says Mr. Ian Harris, WSET CEO. A detailed program of the WSET Forum and the registration formalities will be available soon under www.prowinechina.com.
ProWine China 2014 will also welcome the Institute of Masters of Wine to Mainland China. Wine trade professionals will have the opportunity to gain an insight into the industry's most respected wine qualification during the Institute of Masters of Wine master class. “The Institute of Masters of Wine is delighted to be able to host this master class in China for the first time” says Penny Richards, Executive Director Institute of Masters of Wine, about the new cooperation with ProWine China and adds: “Although we have Members in 26 different countries, we are always keen to attract new candidates to our study programme. We are delighted ProWine China is giving us this opportunity to inspire people to think about starting the exciting journey to becoming a Master of Wine.” Details about the Institute of Masters of Wine master class will be published nearer to the show.
MUNDUS VINI tasting zone highlights ProWine China supporting events
