Stuart Pigott

Expert and Trendscout

Stuart Pigott is a British and German wine journalist and scriptwriter based in the historic town of Eppstein in the Taunus Hills close to Frankfurt. He is a Senior Editor at www.JamesSuckling. Pigott was born in 1960 in London where he concluded his studies with a master’s degree in cultural history at the Royal College of Art in 1986. After that he abandoned his plans for an academic peer in favor of wine journalism.
More than 30 years ago he moved to Berlin where he began writing for English and German language newspapers. He was the wine columnist of the Sunday edition of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung from the first issue in September 2001 until March 2019. Since 1988 Pigott has published a string of wine books, but since the majority of them only appeared in German they remain little known. During the first decade of this century he wrote in them extensively on wine and globalization.
His last English language book was Best White Wine on Earth: Riesling (Stewart, Tabori & Chang, New York, 2014). His latest German language wine book is Weinland Deutschland (Tre Torri, Wiesbaden, 2021).

Paula Redes Sidore

Paula Redes Sidore is an American writer, editor and translator. She has spent the last 25 years bringing together and moving between the complex worlds of wine and words. This work is perhaps most prominent in her roles as German and Austrian correspondent for JancisRobinson and as co-founder and editor for the highly acclaimed digital publication Trink Magazine.
Beyond her journalistic pursuits, she and her partner also manage Weinstory, a Bonn-based agency dedicated to translation and creative wine content to and from German for European producers and sellers. She appears frequently as an educator and speaker, as well as a jury member for international wine competitions.
Paula has a Masters degree in fiction writing, as well as sommelier certification with both the Court of Masters and the IHK. She is a member of the Circle of Wine Writers and lives with her family near Bonn.

Jürgen Deibel

Spirits Expert and Trendscout

Jürgen Deibel is an independent spirits expert, author and specialist editor. He made his passion his profession, and his calling has been the exquisite spirits of this world for decades now. A chemistry graduate, he acts as a consultant to the industry, trade and food service and develops products and lectures about the focal theme of his life: the realm of spirits. Consultancy, trainings, seminars and tastings (for amongst others whisk(e)y, r(h)um, Cachaça, vodka, tequila, gin, pisco, cognac, brandy, grappa, aquavit etc.) in many parts of the world have marked his career path.

He participates in national and international spirits and cocktail competitions as a jury member, and acts as Chairman at the International Spirits Competition (ISW) in Germany. He is lecturer and member of leading spirits organisations worldwide and guest lecturer for Beverage Management at national and international schools and academies. When Jürgen Deibel is not travelling the world of spirits, he lives and works in Hannover.
