At ProWein 2026, 32 wineries from the Comunitat Valenciana will come together to showcase the strength, diversity, and international outlook of one of Spain’s most dynamic wine regions.
A LEADING WINE REGION IN SPAIN
With 55,666 hectares of vineyards for winemaking in 2024, the Comunitat Valenciana accounts for around 6.3% of Spain’s total vineyard area, ranking as the fourth largest wine-producing region in the country in terms of surface area.
The region is home to 231 registered wineries across its three prestigious Designations of Origin — Alicante, Utiel-Requena and Valencia — as well as the IGP of wine from Castellón. Together, they reflect a rich mosaic of terroirs, native grape varieties, and winemaking traditions shaped by the Mediterranean climate.
