The demand for "green" products has been steadily increasing for many years - certainly also triggered by an ever-increasing number of consumers who are more concerned about the health effects of food and beverages.
Launched 14 years ago with around 120 organic wine suppliers, more than 300 producers, importers and exporters and the relevant associations from all over the world will present their “green” wines at the world’s largest trade fair for wines and spirits in Hall 5. The special “Organic World” exhibition with around 40 international exhibitors as well as numerous other suppliers of organic wines completes the “green” offer at ProWein.

Not to forget consumers with green or sustainable lifestyles and the public's increased awareness of the issues of environmental protection and climate change. This development has not stopped at wine as a product, as ProWein 2024 once again underlines.
For more than 5000 years people have been cultivating vines and pressing wine. The winegrowers work in and with nature; their wines represent the region of origin and the work of the winemakers. Today many German wineries are producing according to the guidelines of organic viniculture, certified by the EU regulations for organic farming. Their wines are of high quality, the cultivation methods preserve the fertility of the soil and promote the diversity of flora and fauna.
A handful of vineyard soil contains more living organisms than people living on earth.” Anna Stritzinger, organic winegrower
